Epigenetic
- Epigenetics is a relatively new concept to the genetic world that says genes can be turned on or off based on the environment around them.
- Example: People living in Scandinavia often struggled with having enough food when it was a cold summer for example. During these years, women often had smaller hips so normal sized children would not be able to fit when she was pregnant. For this reason, the fetus somehow sensed this problem and did not grow as large so they were smaller people in general.
